Help · Photographs and the outbox
My photos aren't syncing
A short checklist for a lot that is still in the outbox, in the order that finds the cause fastest.
Work down this list. Most of the time the first or second step is the answer.
- Read the bar at the foot of the screen. It says how many lots are waiting and, on any lot the book turned down, why. If there is a sentence on the lot, that sentence is the answer; see Why a lot was turned down.
- Press Send now. If the bar says there is no signal, move to where there is some, or to wifi, and press it again.
- Check you are still signed in. If the book says "sign in again", sign in with the house's email and password on the same browser. The lots are still on the phone and go once you are in.
- Check the picture itself. Each photograph must be a JPEG, PNG or WebP of no more than 3 MB, and a lot holds 12. A photograph can only go once its lot has reached the book, so if the lot itself was turned down, its pictures wait with it. See Photographs on a lot.
- Check the plan. A new house writes 25 lots free; the next one needs the plan, and a book that has gone read-only takes nothing new. Either way what you have written stays on the phone and goes once the house is on the plan.
- Use the same browser. The outbox lives in one browser on one phone. Opening the book in a different browser, or a private window, shows a different, empty outbox.
Do not clear the browser's website data while lots are waiting; that deletes the outbox with them. If lots are still stuck after all of this, tell us what the bar says and which lots are waiting.
