Lotdesk

$79 a month for the whole auction house

One price, whatever is on the rostrum. It does not rise with the lots, the sales or the catalogers. Your first 25 lots are free, with no card.

What the first lots include

A new house writes up to 25 lots with no card and no time limit. That covers the lots' photographs (up to 12 each, 3 MB each), as many sales, sections and consignors as you want, and the printable catalog. It is enough to write a real sale's first lots and see them printed.

The 26th lot, and the export files, need the plan. Lots already written are never hidden: in every state of the account, what you wrote is shown.

What the plan includes

What it does not include, because it does not do it

Paying, and stopping

Cancel any time. Billed monthly by card through Stripe's own checkout page. You pay on the payment provider's own page, and Lotdesk never sees the card details. You reach that page from the plan line inside your book, which tells it which house is paying, so the payment is matched to your book whatever email it is made with.

To stop, use Update the card or cancel in that plan line. There is no notice period and no exit fee, and access continues to the end of the month you paid for. Cancel within 14 days of a charge and the current month is refunded; the refund policy has the exact terms. After the plan ends the book reads but does not write, every lot is still there, and the export can still be taken.

If a card payment fails, the book keeps writing for 7 days with a banner saying so, then reads only until the card is updated.

Questions about the price

Is it really flat?

Yes. $79 a month covers the house however many lots, sales or catalogers it has. The only limit is the 25 free lots before the plan starts.

Do I need a card to try it?

No. Open a book, write up to 25 lots and print the catalog. A card is asked for only when you want lot 26 or the export files.

What currency are the prices in?

The plan is in US dollars. A sale's own estimates are in the currency you choose for that sale (pounds, dollars or euros).

Do you take a cut of the sale?

No. Lotdesk is not in the money: it takes no bids and no payments, so there is nothing to take a percentage of.

What if my house runs several sales at once?

They are all in the one book at the one price.
