Adding and removing a cataloguer
How the house gives each cataloguer their own login, what they see, and how to take one off.
The house's own login can add the people who write lots, each with a login of their own, so every lot says who wrote it. The plan covers every cataloguer at one price.
To add one. Sign in with the house's own login and open Team in the menu. Under Add a cataloguer type their name, which goes on every lot they write, and their email address, which they sign in with, then press Add the cataloguer. Lotdesk makes an invitation link and shows it on the page. If email is switched on for the service the link is also emailed; if not, copy it and send it yourself by message or in person.
What the cataloguer does. They open the link, see "Welcome" with their name, choose a password of at least 10 characters, and they are in. The link works once and lasts a week. If it has run out or been used, the page says so; use New link next to their name on the Team page to make another.
What they see. They see the house's book: the same sales, lots, sections and consignors. Only the house's own login can add or remove people.
To remove one. On the Team page choose Remove beside their name. Their phone stops working at once and they are signed out everywhere. The lots they wrote stay, with their name on them.
The Team page lists everyone with where they are, either invited, not joined yet, writing or removed, and how many lots each has written.
If a cataloguer forgets their password, they can ask for a new one themselves; see Choosing a new password.
