Exporting the CSV

Where to find the file, every column in it in order, and what the file leaves out.

Each sale comes out as one CSV file. Open the sale and choose Export the CSV, or use the CSV link beside the sale on the book. The file is named after the sale, for example winter-antiques-interiors-catalogue.csv.

It has one header row and one row per lot, in catalogue order, with these 12 columns in this order:

How the values are written:

Every lot on the sale is in the file whatever its state; filter on the State column if you want only the lots in the catalogue.

The CSV is part of the plan: a house still on its free first lots can read and print the catalogue, but takes the CSV once it is on the plan. A house whose plan has ended can still take it. See The plan.

The file is Lotdesk's own layout. It is not the template of any particular cataloguing or bidding system, so see Getting the CSV into your own software before an import. For a spreadsheet, see Opening the CSV in a spreadsheet.
